Class of '79 Board Meeting September 22, 2011 7pm

Aloha Crusaders of 1979,

We will be having our bi-weekly class board meeting at the Crusader Lounge (Alumni Club House) on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at 7pm. Please, if you can, come and join us in planning future events and activities for our class members and their families so that we can enjoy the fellowship of our brotherhood known as the Class of '79. If you have any comments or preference let us know.

The 50th Birfday Stag Night (afternoon) on Saturday, September 17th, 2011, started as the same time as the University of Hawaii Warriors vs University of Nevada Las Vegas Rebels football game. The Warriors did not give us much to cheer about, but the turnout was pretty good, and was a pretty fun get together.

It was good to see everyone that could make it, and there was sooooo much to eat. Thanks guys, but "bring some of your favorite pupus to share" does not mean large pans of whatever it is that you brought. It was all delicious and fully appreciated though and the leftovers was bagged and shared with those in need living at Moilili and Stadium Park and surrounding areas (Thanks Albert, that was a good idea). The get together officially started at 4pm, but the time really flew by and by the time I left at 11pm, there was still alot of of the guys still hanging out at the clubhouse.

I would like to thank Aaron Manuel (aka Willie Tito) for coodinating and organizing the get together. He really did a good job getting the job done. Thanks to Albert Nakanishi and Russell Valente for the door prizes, Crusader stickers and pens. Thanks to Tony Souza for being the late night clean up crew, and a big Thank You to Dwight and Theresa Moniz for the 50th birfday cake (with individual candles even). Oh, so ono.

Next up is the Las Vegas Get-Away in October, and that is what we will be working on this Thursday. Come on down and help us out.

Update! 50th Birfday Stag Night at the St Louis Alumni Clubhouse moved up to start at 4pm

Crusaders of '79,

Update: the 50th Birfday Stag Night at the St Louis Alumni Clubhouse will be starting at 4pm, Saturday, September 17th, the same time as the UH vs UNLV game, so come on down on and reunite with our classmates and friends and cheer on the UH football Warriors at the same time. We have been flying by the seat of our pants, but luckly, Aaron Manual has been kinda on it and keeping us on track. We will be set up in the ballroom and bring your favorite pupu's to share. There will be door prizes, and Karaoke too after the game. I know it is supposed to be a stag get togther, but if your signifigant other insists on coming, bring 'em cause we love to see everybody interested in being there, and as you know, the more the merrier (plus, they could do the driving home if needed). Please, if you can, come and join us in planning future events and activities for our class members and their families so that we can enjoy the fellowship of our brotherhood known as the Class of '79. If you have any comments or preference let us know.

We will be working on the 50th Birfday Stag Night at the St Louis Alumni Clubhouse on Saturday, September 17, 2011. The get together was originally scheduled for 7pm, but we did not realize that the UH vs UNLV game was the same day, so we are thinking of starting the get together earlier at about 3 or 4pm. We will let you know as soon as a definite time is determined.

We will also be working on the October Las Vegas Get Away events too.
